After posting a competitive 140/3 from 100 balls, Southern Brave produced a disciplined bowling performance to restrict Birmingham Phoenix to 116/5, extending their unbeaten streak.

Maia Bouchier and Lizelle Lee Give Southern Brave a Flying Start

Batting first, Southern Brave Women got off to an excellent start with Maia Bouchier and Lizelle Lee dominating the powerplay. Bouchier played an attacking knock of 45 off 31 balls, hitting eight boundaries, while Lee smashed 43 runs from just 28 deliveries, including seven fours and two sixes.

After the opening stand, Laura Wolvaardt scored 11 runs, while Jemimah Rodrigues anchored the innings with an unbeaten 28 off 18 balls. Captain Sophie Molineux remained not out on 8, helping Southern Brave finish on a competitive 140/3.

For Birmingham Phoenix Women, Lauren Filer, Alice Capsey, and Alana King claimed one wicket each.

Davina Perrin’s Fifty Goes in Vain

Chasing 141, Birmingham Phoenix Women struggled to build partnerships despite a determined innings from Davina Perrin, who top-scored with 52 runs off 43 balls. Tammy Beaumont added 22 runs, while captain Ellyse Perry remained unbeaten on 16.
