MIL vs LS 12 Match Highlight & Report | The Hundred 2026 : London Spirit secured their first victory of The Hundred Men’s 2026 with a convincing seven-wicket win over MI London. Chasing a competitive target of 165, London Spirit reached 165/3 in just 89 balls, thanks to brilliant knocks from Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Dewald Brevis.

The victory gave London Spirit their first points of the tournament, while MI London were left searching for answers after failing to defend a strong total.

Batting first, MI London posted 164/5 from their 100 balls. Opener Will Jacks played a classy innings of 65 off 44 balls, smashing eight fours and two sixes to anchor the innings.

Middle-order batter Sherfane Rutherford provided the late fireworks with a quick 41 off 19 balls, including two fours and four sixes. Captain James Vince added 26 runs, while Jason Roy chipped in with a brisk 13.

For London Spirit, Jamie Overton starred with the ball, claiming 3 wickets for 30 runs, while Andrew Tye and James Coles picked up one wicket each.

Pretorius Sets the Tone, Brevis Finishes the Job

In reply, London Spirit made an aggressive start through Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Jonny Bairstow. Pretorius stole the show with a breathtaking 64 off just 28 balls, hammering three fours and seven sixes at a strike rate of over 228.

Bairstow contributed a rapid 23 off 12 balls, while skipper Liam Livingstone added 16. After a couple of wickets, Dewald Brevis played a match-winning unbeaten knock of 37 from 18 balls, supported by James Rew, who remained not out on 19.

The pair guided London Spirit home with 11 balls to spare, completing the chase in dominant fashion.

MI London’s Bowlers Struggle to Contain Spirit

MI London’s bowling attack found it difficult to stop London Spirit’s aggressive batting. Trent Boult, Richard Gleeson, and Olly Stone claimed one wicket each, but the rest of the attack failed to build sustained pressure.

Pretorius’ explosive start ensured the required run rate remained under control throughout the chase, while Brevis’ powerful finishing sealed a comfortable victory.

The game swung heavily in London Spirit’s favour during Lhuan-dre Pretorius’ explosive 64-run innings. His fearless stroke play put MI London’s bowlers on the back foot from the outset and laid the perfect platform for the chase.
