With neither side able to find the winning runs, the contest ended level after 100 balls.

Amelia Kerr and Chinelle Henry Lift MI London Women to a Fighting Total

Batting first, MI London Women made a positive start through Hayley Matthews, who scored 18 off 11 balls with two boundaries before she was caught by Trudy Johnson off the bowling of Nadine de Klerk.

The second wicket fell soon after when Alice Davidson-Richards managed 10 runs from 14 deliveries before Marizanne Kapp had her caught by Charis Pavely.

Captain Hollie Armitage looked comfortable during her knock of 23 from 21 balls, striking three fours, but Kapp struck again to bowl her and leave MI London Women under pressure.

With three wickets down, Amelia Kerr took charge of the innings. She played a calm and composed knock, remaining unbeaten on 49 off 32 balls, including seven fours. Kerr rotated the strike brilliantly and ensured her side kept building towards a competitive total.

At the other end, Nicola Carey added 11 runs before she was bowled by Grace Harris.

The momentum completely shifted in the final overs when Chinelle Henry produced a sensational cameo. She blasted an unbeaten 33 off just 12 balls, smashing four fours and two sixes. Her explosive partnership with Amelia Kerr helped MI London Women post 151/4 from their 100 balls.

Marizanne Kapp Leads the Bowling Attack

For London Spirit Women, Marizanne Kapp was the standout performer with the ball. She claimed two key wickets, dismissing Alice Davidson-Richards and Hollie Armitage to keep MI London Women from dominating the innings.

Nadine de Klerk removed Hayley Matthews, while Grace Harris accounted for Nicola Carey. Although Trudy Johnson, Charlie Dean, Charis Pavely and Deandra Dottin went wicketless, they contributed by keeping the scoring under control during the middle phase.

Amy Jones and Marie Kelly Keep London Spirit Women in the Hunt

Chasing 152, London Spirit Women suffered the worst possible start when Grace Harris was dismissed for a golden duck. She was caught by Hollie Armitage off the bowling of Chinelle Henry, giving MI London Women an early breakthrough.

After the early setback, Amy Jones and Marie Kelly stitched together an excellent partnership to revive the innings. Jones played a classy knock of 49 from 36 balls, hitting five fours and one six before she was caught by Nicola Carey off Kirstie Gordon.

Marie Kelly continued the charge with an outstanding innings of 45 off 28 balls, striking six fours and one six. Just when she looked set to guide her team home, she was caught by Chinelle Henry off the bowling of Kirstie Gordon.

Marizanne Kapp then played a quickfire innings of 25 from just 13 balls, including one four and two sixes. However, she was caught by Gregory off Hayley Matthews, giving MI London Women another crucial breakthrough.

Nadine de Klerk contributed 13 off 10 balls before she was caught by Amelia Kerr off the bowling of Hayley Matthews.

In the closing stages, Deandra Dottin remained unbeaten on 13, while captain Charlie Dean stayed unbeaten on 1. Despite their efforts, London Spirit Women could only finish level with MI London Women, as the match ended in a dramatic tie.

MI London Women Bowlers Fight Until the End

MI London Women’s bowlers kept the contest alive throughout the chase. Kirstie Gordon was the pick of the bowlers, dismissing both Amy Jones and Marie Kelly at crucial moments.

Hayley Matthews also impressed by taking the important wickets of Marizanne Kapp and Nadine de Klerk, while Chinelle Henry provided the dream start by removing Grace Harris on the very first ball of the innings.

Although Tara Norris, Amelia Kerr and Nicola Carey finished without wickets, they maintained pressure and ensured the game went down to the final ball.

Marie Kelly (London Spirit Women) was named Player of the Match for her superb 45 off 28 balls. Her aggressive stroke play and fearless approach kept London Spirit Women in the contest and played a vital role in helping her side secure a dramatic tie in one of the best matches of The Hundred Women 2026.
