Kamil Pooran leads the chase with an unbeaten 81
Saint Lucia Kings’ chase was built around a superb knock from Kamil Pooran. He remained unbeaten on 81 from 49 balls, hitting six fours and five sixes.

Earlier, Jamaica Kingsmen had made 169/9 in 20 overs after being put into bat.
Keacy Carty was the main contributor with the bat, scoring 50 from 45 balls. His half-century gave Jamaica a base, although the team struggled to build enough partnerships around him.
There was some late acceleration from the Jamaica middle order. Usman Khan smashed 28 from just 11 balls, while Andre Russell scored 25 from 15 deliveries, including three sixes.
Odean Smith also remained unbeaten on 27 from 17 balls, with three sixes, as Jamaica Kingsmen pushed their total towards 170.
Matthew Forde takes five wickets
For Saint Lucia Kings, Matthew Forde was the standout bowler. He finished with excellent figures of 5/23 from four overs.
Forde dismissed Keacy Carty, Saim Ayub, Usman Khan, Rovman Powell and Hassan Khan, making sure Jamaica Kingsmen could not build a bigger total.
Maheesh Theekshana and Joshua Bishop took one wicket each, while Shadley van Schalkwyk also picked up a wicket.
Despite Forde’s five-wicket haul, Jamaica Kingsmen managed to reach 169 thanks to their late hitting. But it proved to be well below what Saint Lucia Kings needed to chase down.
Two defeats followed by an important win
For Saint Lucia Kings, this was exactly the kind of response they needed after two successive losses. They not only won the match but did so with six wickets and 10 balls remaining, giving them a useful boost in the points table.
Pooran’s unbeaten 81 was the foundation of the chase, while Pienaar’s quick 34 ensured there was no late drama. With the ball, Forde’s five-wicket performance had earlier restricted Jamaica Kingsmen to a manageable total.
Forde was named Player of the Match for his outstanding spell.
The win takes Saint Lucia Kings to three victories in six matches, and they now sit at the top of the points table. After a difficult couple of games, the Kings have responded strongly and will take plenty of confidence from this performance.
